Sync between drives and cloud.
Nothing is ever silently lost.

SyncWing keeps folders identical across your drives — and with OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or your own server. Every replaced or deleted file is archived first, automatically.

Windows 10 / 11  ·  30-day full trial  ·  no admin rights  ·  works offline

Safety first, effort last.

Designed so a mistake can never destroy data. Configure it once, then forget it exists — SyncWing watches both folders and keeps its own history of everything it changes.

Nothing silently lost

Replaced and deleted files go to a timestamped version archive before they disappear. Browse and restore any version with one click.

True two-way sync

Edit on either side — changes travel both directions automatically. Conflicts keep both versions instead of guessing a winner.

Your cloud, your server

OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, SFTP or WebDAV — or plain local folders. No accounts with us, no cloud of ours.

Drive-swap protection

Hidden identity markers abort the sync if a different drive shows up under the same letter — it never merges the wrong disk.

Mass-delete circuit breaker

If more than 100 deletions appear in one run, the sync stops and asks. Ransomware-style wipe-outs don't propagate.

Private by design

No telemetry, no sign-up, no internet needed for local sync. Server passwords are stored obscured, never in plain text.

[09:12:07] Sync finished. ~3 item(s) processed. Old versions archived.

How it works

Three steps. The first sync is always a safe merge that never deletes anything.

Pick two folders

A folder on your external drive and its match in the backup — a local folder, a cloud service, or your own server. Add as many pairs as you like.

Preview, then sync

Preview shows exactly what would happen, read-only. The first sync merges both sides: newer files win, nothing is deleted.

Forget it

SyncWing syncs about eight seconds after changes settle, plus a reconciliation pass every 20 minutes. Ejected drive? It resumes on its own when the drive returns.

EventWhat SyncWing does
File edited on one sideCopied to the other side — old version archived first
File deletedDeletion syncs, but the deleted copy is archived — recoverable
File edited on both sidesNewer version wins — the loser is kept as *.conflict, never erased
File renamedRename is detected — no duplicate copies
Wrong drive at the same letterSync aborts — identity markers don't match
Excel file currently openRetried automatically, picked up on the next pass

FAQ

The questions buyers actually ask.

Is the trial really the full product?

Yes — all features, no limits, for 30 days. The only difference after the trial ends is that syncing pauses until you enter a license key. Your folders and version history are never touched.

Does my data pass through your servers?

Never. Local sync never touches the internet at all. Cloud sync connects directly from your PC to your own OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or server. SyncWing has no servers that see your files.

What happens if I lose a license key?

Email support with the name you bought it with and we'll re-issue it. Activation works fully offline — you only need internet to download the app.

Can I move my license to a new PC?

Yes — licenses follow you, not the machine. Email us when you switch and we'll free the seat.

How is this different from OneDrive or FreeFileSync?

OneDrive syncs to Microsoft's cloud only — and a mistake syncs too. FreeFileSync is a good manual tool but has no automatic monitoring, no version archive, and no drive-swap protection. SyncWing is set-and-forget with safety rails.

Is deletion really safe?

Deletions propagate so both sides stay in sync, but every deleted file lands in the version archive first. To truly lose a file you would have to delete it twice — once from your folders and once from the archive.
